Casting Technology Ceramics
Over 70 years of combined experience.
CTC was born from the merger of diverse expertise in high-temperature ceramics, casting, and quality control—each contributing a rich foundation of knowledge. Today, the CTC team brings together over 70 years of combined experience in ceramic technology, covering core design, tooling, material selection and specification, as well as investment casting.
In the ever-evolving world of precision manufacturing, ceramic core technology plays a vital role in investment casting, enabling the production of complex and high-performance components. At Casting Technology Ceramics, we specialize in designing and manufacturing high-precision ceramic cores that meet the stringent requirements of industries such as Aerospace, Industrial, Healthcare, Sports, and Automotive.
Our expertise lies in developing customized ceramic solutions using advanced compositions of silica, alumina, and zircon, ensuring minimal metal interaction, dimensional stability, and easy removal after casting. With a commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, we strive to enhance the casting process by delivering superior ceramic core solutions tailored to specific industry needs.
This website serves as a comprehensive guide to our products, technologies, and industry applications, showcasing how our ceramic cores contribute to precision engineering and advanced manufacturing. We invite you to explore our offerings and discover how Casting Technology Ceramics can support your casting requirements.
Ceramic Cores Benefits
- We can manufacture cores in different strengths depending on the customer’s needs. We can manufacture strong and very weak structures, thus providing the customer with no limitations on their design
- We can process parts with tolerances down to 0.05mm and thicknesses less than 0.3mm
- We have X-ray capability if needed to confirm sure they are perfect internally and externally
- The material/core is rigorously tested and each core goes through internal and external trials
- Our advanced materials exhibit high temperature stability in thick sections which hold up to the latest superalloy used in today’s most advanced gas turbine jet engines
Ceramic Cores Features
- Our cores are made from materials that have very low coefficients of thermal expansion, an extremely desirable property for investment casting
- Our products are also easy to leech out through chemical reactions
Ceramic Core
Ceramic cores (CTC) are specifically designed for casting steel alloys and superalloys using the lost wax process. These cores maintain stability at temperatures up to 1700°C and can be adapted for different applications based on the selected material.
Ceramic cores are used in investment casting to reproduce complex structures, such as industrial gas turbines and turbine blades. We offer ceramic cores ranging from general-purpose products to high-end quality applications.
Our ceramic cores are designed for investment casting, supporting the production of general components as well as industrial gas turbines and aircraft turbine blades.
We manage all grades under a strict quality control system, ensuring that every product meets precise specifications. While our ceramic cores are of high quality, we provide them at a competitive price.
Tool Manufacturing
We are proud to offer you our advanced manufacturer and designer tooling. The company provides wax and ceramic mold tools and gauging, wax setters, fixtures for gate witness removal, machine fixtures for precision machining of castings, CNC, and EDM, delivering a one-stop solution for aerospace and industrial gas turbine engine engineering problems. We also offer rapid prototyping and rapid tooling. We provide guidance to ensure parts are designed for optimum performance and efficient assembly. Our advanced straightening fixtures and techniques can be used in hot or cold temperatures, depending on the metal alloys. Our designers and toolmakers will work directly with you to move your concept drawings to the production stage by combining cutting-edge technology with professional technical expertise.
Ceramic Core Leaching
The leaching process is used to remove ceramic cores from castings after the investment casting process, ensuring clean and precise internal passages.
Chemical Leaching:
The casting is immersed in the solution, often at elevated temperatures (typically 80–120°C), to accelerate dissolution.
The process time depends on the core material, casting complexity, and leaching conditions.
